Course Content
The course examines the topic of training and education needs, clarifying their meaning in relation to job-contexts, in which the professional figures formed by this course are going to work. Particular attention will be given to the analysis of some study cases, in relation to the different ages and life-stages. The course will be held in Italian, and partly in English. In this second case, the lectures will cover a number of hours equivalent to 1 Cfu.

Learning Objectives
The goals are formulated according to Dublin descriptors:
1) Knowledge and understanding: to know, and to acquire the know-how, to distinguish among different educational needs, in relation to different age groups;
2) Applied knowledge and understanding skills: to be able to recognize educational-training needs, as these manifest themselves, both at an individual level and within institutions;
3) autonomy of judgment: be able to recognize the different contexts of the emergence of educational-training needs;
4) communicative skills: to be able to use the various languages involved in the educational relationship;
5) learning skills: to be able to design educational-training activities that meet subjects’ needs.

Traditional lectures and group work.
Type of Assessment
Verifications will be carried out through thematic discussions with individual elaboration, or in small groups, of brief reports concerning the issues dealt with in lectures; their results will therefore do average with the score of the final exam. Rgarding attending students, the final exam will be written, through questions concerning the textbooks in program, and the materials presented in lectures. Regarding non-attending students, they are required to write a review of a textbook chosen among those ones in program, and to take a 15-minute interview per student on all the texts in program.
Course program
Starting from a reflection on the changes taking places in today's society, the course focuses on the new educational and training needs, in order to train professionals involved in education and training sector able to accompany the subjects in their life-long training path. The course clarifies the meaning of educational-training need, also deepening the pedagogical theories about. Special attention will be paid to some relevant study cases, in relation to the following seasons of life: childhood, adolescence, parenting, in order to provide students with pedagogical acknowledgements and methodologies for a correct detection and managing of educational needs related to the early life spans, therefore guiding them in acquiring the ability to design educational interventions within a systemic approach.
