Learning Objectives
Knowledge and comprehension skills: To be able to examine and interpret organizational structures as well as to understand the process of design and re-design of an organizational structure. To acquire the basic knowledge on the main human resource management practices, with a particular focus on job analysis, human resources training and development.
Applied knowledge and comprehension skills: To allow the student to reflect critically and solve problems related to organizational design and re-design, as well as to human resource behaviors, through exercises based on case studies, classroom discussions and group work to be presented in plenary.
Use of independent judgment: To develop the ability to formulate individual judgments based on a limited or incomplete set of information on the topics discussed during the course, stimulating reflection on the social and ethical consequences deriving from the application of acquired knowledge and produced judgments.
Communication skills: Building the ability to communicate clear, concise and grounded-on-acquired-knowledge conclusions, opinions and judgments on issues related to the organization design and human resource development, in order to be able to effectively interact with both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
Learning skills: Develop the ability to learn the fundamentals of organization design and human resource management in an autonomous way, so as to be able to increase personal knowledge and skills on the subject matter in the future.
