Theatrical perspectives of the second half of the twentieth century: Luca Ronconi director
The course aims at investigating more than fifty years of theatrical production (prose and music) by Luca Ronconi, through a close analysis of some exemplary performances. In this way, the course aims at providing students with basic knowledge in Luca Ronconi’s entire theatrical production.

Learning Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with a general overview of the following basic themes:
- Luca Ronconi’s concept of stage direction, drammaturgy and actor drammaturgy.
Skills:
- the comprehension and the distinction of different productive methodologies;
- the comparison between different theatrical phenomena.

Prerequisites
A good knowledge of the history of theatre.
Teaching Methods
During the class, students will be shown theatrical plays as a way of analysing performing events and if necessary, radio dramas will be used.
Further information
Students enrolled in Produzione teatrale 2 are encouraged to attend the Laboratory of the history and technique of acting and the Laboratory of stage directions, and to join in the activies of the University theatrical Company.
Type of Assessment
Oral examination on the contents of the bibliography and of the lessons. The critical abilities developed by the student and the level of his/her participation during the lessons will be taken into account in expressing the final grade.

The course aims at investigating more than fifty years of theatrical production (prose and music) by Luca Ronconi, through a close analysis of some exemplary performances: from Orlando furioso (1969) to other important works directed and staged for the Piccolo di Milano, devoting special attention to the ‘pratese’ trio (Calderon, La Torre, Le Baccanti, 1977-78) and Progetto Domani (2006). In this way, the course aims at providing students with basic knowledge in Luca Ronconi’s entire theatrical production.
